At three years old, Benjamin visited the doctor for what appeared to be a lazy eye but was actually a tumour on his optic nerve. His symptoms led to the diagnosis of a brain tumour and Benjamin began rounds of chemotherapy treatments, endured a port insertion surgery, and another procedure to have it removed.
